July R.E.C.A.P.

The books, podcasts, and items that have added value this month.

Reading

  • Happy Place –Solid 4 out of 5-stars.  This is the perfect, light summer read to get lost in by the pool or beach. I really liked the author, Emily Henry’s style of writing and am adding two more of her books to my list! (Book Lovers and People We Meet On Vacation)

Eating

  • Lola 55 – Bobby and I went for lunch the other day and my mouth is watering just thinking about our meal.  This fast-casual Michelin starred Mexican restaurant serves gourmet tacos and craft cocktails.  Price point, quality, atmosphere, and vibe make this a restaurant we will be including in our normal rotation.  Get the spicey marg with the chicken Oaxaca quesadillas!

  • Crockpot chicken tinga tacos – I’ve been craving Mexican food lately (see Lola 55 above), and I’ve always been a fan of Rachel’s Good Eats recipes.  Plus, any excuse to whip out the crockpot and make a lazy girl meal has me hooked.

  • The Better Bagel –I spotted these bagels on a recent Sprouts trip, and they are SO good.  Try the everything bagel toasted with grass fed butter, you won’t be disappointed!

Community

  • Congratulations to Kelly and everyone involved in the latest Designing Dreams bedroom remodel for Brittany!  This is the organization’s second bedroom remodel in San Diego.  For anyone who supported along the way through our events or donations, thank you for your support! <3  Check out the before and after reveal on the latest Designing Dreams Instagram post!

  • Thank you to Move Madly for hosting an anatomy workshop with master trainer Sharnee and Dr. Rodante!  As a fitness instructor, I am always trying to learn as much as I can to educate clients and improve my craft.  Check out my latest blog post about getting the most out of your next Lagree workout, inspired by the tips I learned in the anatomy workshop!

Adding to Cart

  • Lulu bike short dupe –Sometimes you need to freshen up your workout gear without dropping $100’s of dollars.  Enter Heynuts: one of my favorite Lulu dupe brands on Amazon.  I got the 6” inseam biker shorts and they are long enough where they won’t ride up.  Tempted to get these in multiple colors!
