What I’m listening to, watching, and adding to my cart this month

Fav picture of Jim looking dapper after is groom a few days ago. S/O to Second Home Pet Resort in Phoenix! :)

What I’m listening to: I don’t know about you, but my mind loves to race as soon as I hit the pillow.  My brain decides it’s the perfect time to remind me of the things I forgot to do that day, or overthink a conversation I had 2 years ago.  Anyone else relate?  I recently started listening to Yoga Nidra meditations while I fall asleep, and it’s been a gamechanger! I use the free app, Insight Timer, and put on a 20-30 minute Yoga Nidra meditation while I lie in bed (don’t worry, no poses required!) and it forces you to bring your focus to each body part for a few moments while incorporating your breath, which doesn’t allow much room to think about anything else.  Bringing your awareness back to your body makes you feel grounded and helps bring calmness to the monkey mind which loves to become active before falling asleep.

What I’m adding to cart:  As I’ve been adjusting to the dry, hot climate after moving back to Arizona, one of the first things I started to notice was allergies, dehydration, and super dry eyes.  I’m already prone to dry eyes because of having Sjogrens Syndrome, so your girl was in desperate relief for more moisture and hydration.

These eyedrops have been great to use during the day, and I haven’t noticed a lot of redness or itchiness like I was with other eyedrops.  When my eyes get really dry my eyes become bloodshot which is not a fun look, and these have honestly taken care of the moisture and they are preservative free! I love that they come in little individual tubes so you can throw them in your purse and take them on the go.

I also found a company online, Cornea Care, that specializes in eye care and health, and they have an amazing single use warm compress that I’ve been using before bed (hot tip: habit stack by using your eye compress in bed during your Yoga Nidra).  The eye compress has all natural ingredients which are hydrating to the eye and is perfect if you have dry eyes like me, fatigue, or even puffiness.

Since we are talking about hydration, I finally tried LMNT and it’s helped me drink significantly more water which my fellow Zonies know is crucial this time of year.  Plus the added hydration helps get moisture back into your skin and eyes if you are prone to dryness.  LMNT doesn’t contain any sugar or sketchy ingredients like some other electrolyte packets or drinks, and they have tons of flavors – my favorites are citrus, orange, and raspberry.

What I’m watching: Sadly, I just finished the last season of Ted Lasso on Apple TV.  This season was sooo good and it was one of those feel-good, heartwarming shows.  I’m bummed that the series is over, but it ended on such a good note.  If you haven’t already binge watched this show, do yourself a favor and clear your weekend.

For any of my fellow Lagree instructors, I recently completed the Advanced Level 2 Time Effective Cueing certification with Master Trainer, Katrina Nakada and I was blown away with the number of tips and resources she provided to help us coaches polish our cueing while coaching group classes.  I love being a student and think it’s so important to always be learning and improving teaching techniques as an instructor, so I highly recommend any of her advanced certifications if you are looking to level up your Lagree coaching. 😊

Anyone else have any favorite wellness products, podcasts, or resources they’ve been loving lately? I’d love to know!
