The podcasts, shows, and wellness activities that have been keeping me sane in this AZ heat!

What I’m listening to:

The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast: The Secrets to a Long Happy Life.  I love that this episode talks about realistic ways to live a healthy life, without being restrictive and cutting things out.  Lauryn and Michael always bring humor and levity into their interviews, so it’s an easy, entertaining listen with realistic wellness takeaways.

What I’m adding to cart:

Summer Fridays skincare.  I love that the products are effective, clean, and they don’t break the bank relative to some other clean beauty brands.  I discovered Summer Fridays a few years ago when their cult favorite Jet Lag Mask went viral, and I’ve slowly started to build my current skincare routine around these products.  My favorites are the vitamin C serum, lip butter balm (I always keep one in my purse), mineral milk sunscreen (the only facial sunscreen I’ve found that is lightweight enough to wear under makeup without residue), and the gel cleanser.   For first time orders you receive $10 off using this link!  When you recycle 5 empty products, they also offer a $25 e-gift card to go towards future purchases.

My favorites from Summer Fridays.

Local AZ activities:

Yoga Box. I started going to Yoga Box in San Diego and was so excited to learn they opened their first location in Phoenix at 28th Street & Indian School.  I love Jenn and Carly’s power flow classes – the classes are lightly heated, so you’ll break a sweat, but not like some traditional “hot” yoga classes where you walk out looking like you just jumped in a pool.  And, your first 3 classes are free, so there’s no reason not to give it a try if you’ve been looking to incorporate more zen with these brutal temperatures!

Curv Body Lounge.  During my 31 day break from alcohol, I was looking for a lymphatic drainage massage to really help lower my inflammation and get rid of some lingering toxins.  I found Curv Body Lounge online and I had one of the best lymphatic drainage massages.  For those who aren’t familiar, lymphatic drainage massages are specialized massages that gently help remove waste and toxins from body tissues.  I left feeling so much lighter and less puffy, and the atmosphere is super relaxing.

What I’m watching:

How to get Rich on Netflix – I’ve been a fan of Ramit Sethi’s work for a while and read his book, I Will Teach You to Be Rich a few years ago.  His philosophy is all about allowing people to live their version of a rich life by spending money on things they love, and cutting back on the things they don’t care about.  His Netflix serious follows several different people, couples, and families navigating their financial challenges and helping them reframe their beliefs with money to get them out of debt, or in one case, retire their mom.  It’s fascinating to see how we all have different beliefs about money based on how we were raised, or the messages we received from our peers/culture, and Ramit’s show takes a taboo topic like money and brings humor and tactical steps to un-do some of the deep rooted beliefs we have about money.  Bobby and I binged this in one weekend, and it’s motivated me to get more intentional with where I’m spending my money!

Tik Toks – just keeping it real.  When I’m done cleaning the kitchen, taking my vitamins, and have a few minutes to relax, I love zoning out and scrolling through Tik Toks.  Lately my feed has been videos of golden retriever, food recipes, or conspiracy theories (lol!).

Disclosure: every product I mention is something I have personally vetted, purchased, or been gifted.  I will always provide my honest opinion.  If you make a purchase via the affiliate links, I may receive a small commission at no cost to you.
